Philip F. Phillips 1959-2009

Philip F. Phillips, 50, of Camdenton, Mo., passed away Saturday, Aug. 22, 2009. at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach, Mo.
Philip was born Feb. 21, 1959 in Ganada, Texas, a son to Fred and Diane (Herrmann) Phillips.
Philip was united in marriage on Dec. 31, 2005, in Camdenton to Laura Lee, who survives.
Philip was raised in Cypress, Texas, and graduated from Cy-Fair High School, where he played football. His family owned Phillips Aviation, where he worked and later became owner. He was a member of Christ United Church in Cypress.
Philip worked the past six years for the city of Osage Beach at both the Lee C. Fine Airport and the Grand Glaize-Osage Beach City Airport; the last five of those years as airport manager of both airports.
Philip loved flying and had received his pilot’s license at age 16. He had held his pilot’s license for more than 30 years.
In his spare time he enjoyed hunting and anything to do with aviation. Philip loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them.
Philip was a loving husband, father and son and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will cherish the memories he created for his family and friends.
Philip is survived by his wife Laura of the home; four sons, Chase Phillips and wife Jodi of Jefferson City, Mo., Chance Phillips of Jefferson City, James Johnson of San Diego, Calif., and Nathan Wolfe of Camdenton; one daughter, Alexis Carter of Camdenton; his father, Fred Phillips and wife Donna of Pueblo, Colo., and his mother, Diane Woodson and husband Mark of Tomball, Texas; his grandmother, Mildred Herrmann; two sisters, Jennifer Mosher and husband Pat of Tomball, Texas and Terry Cameron and husband Don of Tomball, Texas, along with several other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 27, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Walk On The Water Faith Church in Osage Beach, Mo.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2009, from 6-8 p.m. at the Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Camdenton.
Interment will be at New Hope Cemetery in Kaiser, Mo.
Memorial donations are suggested to The American Heart Association and may be left at the funeral home or church.
