David T, Schaefer, 82, of Iberia, Mo., passed away Aug. 25, 2009, at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach, Mo.
David was born Aug. 4, 1927, in Hinckley, Minn., a son to Lyle and Isabelle Schaefer
David served in the United States Navy after high school. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling, cooking and antique cars, but above all things, he enjoyed holding Norma Jean’s hand.
David is survived by his wife of 60 years, Norma Jean of the home; two sons, Paul and his wife Carol of Kansas City, Mo., Michael and his wife Vickie of Kearney, Mo., seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Aug. 28, 2009, at 1:30 p.m. at Concord Church near Crocker, Mo. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Osage Beach.
Burial will be in the Hawkins Cemetery in Brumley, Mo.
