Kathryn L. Kennedy, 73, of Gravois Mills, passed away Saturday, Aug. 29, 2009, at her home.
She was born July 26, 1936, of Hastings, Nebraska, the daughter of the late Glen and Agnes Randolph Johnson.
On Aug. 13, 1955, in Hastings, Neb., she was united in marriage to Duane R. Kennedy, who survives of the home.
Kathryn worked as a secretary for a State Farm Agent in Lincoln, Neb., for 10 years. She was a member of the Shrine of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Laurie where she was a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed wood carving and ceramics.
In addition to her husband, Duane, of 54 years, she is survived by two sons, Bill Kennedy and wife Thonya of Blue Springs and Mike Kennedy and wife Crystl of Lincoln, Neb.; six grandchildren, Deklan Kennedy, Alisha Kennedy, Jacelyn Kennedy, Cheyanne Kennedy, Brook Kennedy, and Jacob Kennedy; and many other relatives and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 3, at the Shrine of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Laurie, Mo. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 2, at the Kidwell-Garber Laurie/Sunrise Beach Chapel.
Graveside services and interment will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, Sept. 4, at the Lincoln Memorial Cemetery in Lincoln, Neb., with a visitation held from 2:30-3- p.m., at the cemetery chapel.
