Dolores “Arlene” (Withrow) Conrey 1925-2009

Dolores “Arlene” Conrey, 84, of Camdenton, Mo., passed away Sunday, Aug. 23, 2009, at her home.
She was born July 30, 1925, in Columbus, Neb., the daughter of the late John and Estella Streeter Withrow.
Arlene attended St. John’s School in Omaha, Neb., and married Harry J. Conrey on June 14, 1947.
She is the mother of six children, and was deeply devoted to all of them. She was an avid stamp collector, and an active member of the Shrine of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Laurie, Mo.
She is survived by her loving husband Harry of 62 years; her children, Mark Conrey of Omaha, Neb., Michael Conrey of Austin, Texas, Patricia Borushaski and husband Ron of Neosho, Mo., Catherine Snyder and husband Ken of Cherokee, Kan., Kevin Conrey and wife Pamela of Liberty, Mo., and Mary Jo Ernst and husband Matt of Kansas City, Mo.; nine grandchildren, Stacie White, Jason Conrey, Justin Conrey, Kristin Allen, David Fornelli, Kate Fornelli, Erin Conrey, Renee Ernst, and Rachel Ernst; three great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Giovanni and Millie Ann. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Daniel Fornelli.
The joys of her life were her children and the friends they brought in to her home. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
The family would like to give a special thanks to her son, Kevin, who cared for her in the last months of her illness. He gave her the special care she deserved. We would also like to thank the many wonderful neighbors and church members that helped our family in so many ways, and for the care and support of the Missouri River Hospice.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Aug. 28, at the Shrine of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Laurie. Interment will follow in the St. Patrick Cemetery in Laurie.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 27, at the Kidwell-Garber Laurie/Sunrise Beach Chapel. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Missouri River Hospice.
