Gary J. McDowell, 58, of Eldon, Mo., passed away Friday, Aug. 7, 2009, at Osage Beach Health Care Center in Osage Beach, Mo.
Gary was born Jan. 31, 1951, in Miller County, Mo., a son to Curtis and Leona (Luttrell) McDowell.
Gary had worked as an auto mechanic for the better part of his life. He had also worked at the Lodge of Four Seasons for several years.
In his spare time, Gary loved to fish, and work on various odd jobs in the area.
Gary is survived by two sons, Curtis McDowell and Robert McDowell; one daughter, Sandra Mc Dowell; five brothers, Dennis Luttrell, David McDowell, John McDowell, Ronnie McDowell and Bobby McDowell; two sisters, Donna Barne and Linda Plemmons, and ten grandchildren along with several other relatives and friends.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Billy Luttrell; and one daughter, Sheila Rae McDowell.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Ulman Community Building in Ulman, Missouri.
