Donna D. Scovill, 82, of Versailles, Mo., passed away Friday, Aug. 28, 2009, at the Good Shepherd Care Center in Versailles.
She was born Aug. 1, 1927, in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of the late William Jewel and Lenna Jane Rogers Sanders.
On Dec. 17, 1997, in Sunrise Beach, she was united in marriage to Robert Scovill, who survives of the home.
Donna enjoyed gardening, sewing, cleaning, and she loved to swim. She was a member of the Lakeside Community Church in Gravois Mills, Mo.
In addition to her husband, Bob, she is survived by one son, Jim Howard and wife Trish of Romayor, Texas; one daughter, Chris Libby and husband Ray of Versailles; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Dick Sanders and wife Sylvia of Sunrise Beach, Mo., and Bill Sanders and wife Lilly of New Mexico; daughter-in-law, Melana Howard of Versailles; and many other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, John Howard, and two sisters, Carmen Kincaid and Jackie Wagoner.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, September 1, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles with the Reverends Dick Sanders and Landon “Cap” Chapman officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m., Monday, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association.
